Advergame Development

Custom branded games that people choose to play — built on the Gamify engine, launched in the browser, and wired for data capture, prizes and reporting from day one.

What is an advergame?

An advergame is a game built to advertise something. The brand isn’t decoration around the play — it’s the world, the hero, the obstacle or the prize. A drink brand becomes the power-up. A car becomes the vehicle you steer. A retailer’s store becomes the level.

The reason advergames keep working while other formats decay is consent. Nobody asks to see a pre-roll ad; people do choose to play. That choice changes everything about the attention you get — average sessions run into minutes, replays are common, and the audience will trade an email address for another go. It’s the same behavioural machinery described in what gamification is, packaged as a single playable asset.

Advergame formats we build

  • Instant-win — play, reveal, win. Fast, high-volume mechanics ideal for retail promotions, on-pack codes and receipt entry, with controlled prize odds and audited winner selection.
  • Arcade — runners, flyers, shooters and catch games with score chasing and leaderboards. Best when you want repeat play and a competitive hook across a campaign window.
  • Hyper-casual — one-thumb mechanics anyone can understand in three seconds. The highest completion rates, and the safest choice for a broad, non-gamer audience.
  • Puzzle and quiz — match, sort and trivia formats that carry product knowledge or brand messaging inside the gameplay rather than around it.
  • Prize draws and sweepstakes — entry-based mechanics with compliant terms, entry caps, verification and winner management for regulated markets.
  • 3D and story-led builds — multi-level worlds, embedded video moments and narrative campaigns for launches that need more than a single mechanic.

How we build advergames without starting from scratch

Every advergame we make runs on our own engine. The engine handles the invisible 70% of a game project — rendering across devices, input handling, scoring, leaderboards, session management, prize allocation, anti-cheat, hosting and analytics — so the project time goes into design and art instead of plumbing.

That means no code is written from zero for a standard build, and no client is paying to re-solve problems we solved on the last campaign. It’s also why a fully branded game can ship in a week: the pipeline is production, not R&D. Our gamification campaign pricing is structured around that same three-tier build model.

  • Brief and mechanic selection — audience, objective, prize, market and timing decide the format.
  • Art direction — your brand assets translated into game art, characters, environments and UI.
  • Production and QA — built on the engine and tested on real devices, browsers and connection speeds.
  • Prize and compliance setup — odds, caps, terms, winner verification and fulfilment workflow.
  • Launch — hosted by us on your domain or ours, reachable by link, QR code or embed.
  • Live optimisation — difficulty, funnel and prize pacing tuned while the campaign is running.

Data capture, CRM and winner management

An advergame that isn’t collecting anything is entertainment. The commercial value comes from the exchange: the player gets a go, the brand gets consented first-party data and a behavioural signal about what that person cares about.

  • Entry gates and post-play capture — email, mobile, age gate, store location or custom fields, with clear consent language.
  • CRM and ESP integration — records pushed in real time to platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Klaviyo or Mailchimp via API and webhooks.
  • Gameplay events — score, level reached, replays and share actions passed through for segmentation and retargeting audiences.
  • Winner management — automated prize allocation, claim flows, verification and exportable winner reports for auditing.
  • Analytics — plays, unique players, completion rate, repeat rate, opt-in rate and cost per acquisition in one dashboard.
  • Privacy — consent captured at the point of entry, data held only as long as the campaign requires.

Advergame development FAQs

What is an advergame?

An advergame is a game made to advertise. The brand isn't a banner around the edge of the play — it's the setting, the character, the product or the prize. Because the player chooses to play, an advergame earns attention rather than interrupting it, and holds it for minutes rather than seconds.

How long does advergame development take?

A branded 2D advergame built on our engine — arcade, runner, puzzle or instant-win — typically launches in 7 to 14 days including branding, QA and prize setup. Custom 3D builds with multiple levels, storyline and integrations usually take four to eight weeks.

Do players need to download an app?

No. Our advergames run in the mobile or desktop browser from a link or QR code, so there's no app-store friction. That matters: every install step between the ad and the play loses a large share of the audience.

Can an advergame collect data and feed our CRM?

Yes. Entry gates, opt-in checkboxes and post-play forms capture consented first-party data, which can be pushed to your CRM or marketing-automation platform in real time via integration or webhook, along with gameplay events for segmentation.
